The eMotion®-LV remotely operated isolation barrier valve helps save time, money and reduce risk by eliminating all wireline runs from completion placement operations
eMotion-LV computer controlled full-bore barrier valve can be repeatedly opened and closed by remote command. It is permanently deployed as part of the tubing to be used as a downhole barrier during completion placement operations. Each time the eMotion-LV barrier valve is operated an intervention is eliminated from the operation, which helps to dramatically reduce rig-time.
Remotely operated time-after-time
Eliminating multiple wireline runs from completion placement operations - saving time, money and reducing risk
Long battery life
Operational for at least 10 months - for use in temporary abandonment operations, or as a flow control device
Run open or closed
Providing flexible deployment options and well control
Providing maximum production or injection flow rates
No dedicated personnel required
Reducing the number of operation personnel - helping to save costs and reduce risk
In the UK North Sea, Chevron wanted to eliminate interventions during completion installation to reduce the rig time associated with these operations. Halliburton proposed the use of eMotion®-LV remotely operated barrier valve and the Evo-RED® bridge plug to help eliminate a number of intervention runs while increasing the efficiency of the operation.
