The information obtained from a production test is used to evaluate the well’s performance. Information is the essence of the test. The equipment must function properly and the operations must be carried out in a safe manner with the primary objective of the test being to obtain and record reliable information at regular time intervals. To accomplish this, Halliburton ensures that all measurement instruments are appropriately selected and that all tests are done to recognized industry standards. The results of the tests are applied in real-time to our Sentry™ Data Acquisition flow rate calculations ensuring the data is always accurate. Tests are taken at regular intervals to continuously assess the well’s performance and to help detect early indications of possible difficulties with the test equipment or the well.
Summary Summary Burner Boom, Triangular Style
The Halliburton Testing and Subsea Burner Boom is a portable triangle-shaped, truss-style assembly. These modular booms are comprised of 30-ft (9.1-m) sections that are easily configured to accommodate 60-ft (18.3-m) and 90-ft (27.4-m) lengths to allow protection from excessive heat during the well testing process. Secured to the rig structure by the use of a kingpost, back struts, vertical suspension and horizontal wind-stay cables, the boom is selfcontained and does not need additional support from the rig crane.

The Halliburton Testing and Subsea Choke Manifold enables an operator to manually control the well stream at the surface by means of an adjustable or fixed choke. The choke provides the operator with either progressive manual, powered, or fixed control of the well by opening or closing the choke orifice. Design of the choke manifold allows operators to limit erosion that occurs from the very high velocities at and immediately downstream of the orifice - to the replaceable parts within the choke.
