Ultrasonic Cleaning System

Halliburton’s Ultrasonic Cleaning  System is an innovative technology used for enhanced cleaning of contaminated or corroded hydrocarbon-processing equipment. The system employs a combination of ultrasonic technology, chemicals, and heat to provide superior cleaning results, while consuming less energy and water. It also significantly reduces waste.

The unit is mobile and is easy to set up in a refinery plant wash bay or onboard an offshore installation. Its fully automated system provides functions to maintain chemical fluid levels, skimming, filtration, heating, and sonic wave generation.

Strategically mounted ultrasonic transducers within the cleaning bath produce cyclic waves of rarefaction-compression throughout the liquid. The waves create microscopic cavitation bubbles that implode on all immersed equipment, creating small and forceful liquid microjets to remove contaminants from all exposed surfaces.

The system is versatile and cleans equipment simultaneously with its frequency tuned to ensure no erosion or damage to equipment.
