Maximize asset value for the operator using an engineered drilling solution

A major operator drilling in the Midland basin collaborated with Halliburton to drill a 10,229’ lateral in 36 drilling hours setting a record for drilling days for the operator, beating the previous record by 1.5 days.
Halliburton listened to the technical challenges and delivered an engineered drilling solution utilizing iCruise® intelligent rotary steerable system with a 8-1/2-inch GeoTech® GTi65DHEO drill bit matched with the NitroForce™ high-torque, high-flow motor. This solution resulted in a basin ROP record of 284 ft/hr over the course of the lateral, with a 24-hour period resulting in 6,859’. Utilizing CruiseControl™ technology, the well was drilled 100% in zone. This run was the culmination of an 8.5 day total well, helping to maximize asset value for the operator. The two section lateral section was drilled in 2.08 days translating to ~$176K savings.
