Fas Drill® Frac Plug

Fas Drill® frac plugs are composite drillable tools designed to provide zonal isolation in the wellbore between multistage stimulation treatments. These tools are available in a variety of models that are categorized based on temperature rating.

Features and Benefits

  • Consists of composites and a packer set, giving it minimal metal content
  • Holds differential pressure from above
  • Allows flowback from below plug
  • Helps save rig time and reduce casing damage caused by long drillout processes
  • Drills out with conventional tricone, PDC*, or junk-mill bits
  • Lower pin design prevents plug-off
  • Ball can be run in place or dropped from surface

Summary Summary Permian Basin Operator Saves Time and Money with Enhanced Plug and Perforate Method
An independent oil and gas operator in the area was using the plug and perforate method to complete their well, but wanted to find a way to improve on the efficiency of the operation. By immediately pressure testing each frac plug prior to perforating the target fracturing stages, the operator could eliminate the risk of the fracturing plug not holding pressure and causing a loss of isolation during stimulation.
