Slurries

Designed Cements represent Halliburton's continuous advancements in cementing technology driven by more than 90 years of experience with increasingly challenging wellbore conditions. Wellbore conditions vary and the slurry design must account for well depth, bottomhole circulating and static temperature, the type and hydrostatic pressure of the drilling fluid, the potential for lost circulation and/or gas migration among many other influential variables. Designed cements are part of the Designed Cementing Solutions™ systems that provide families of slurries designed for major wellbore-condition challenges facing the industry. Since no single slurry, or family of slurries, is ideal for every well condition, choices allow the optimal solution for each combination of conditions and needs. Cement slurries designed for a given well environment can provide optimal zonal-isolation performance. Good zonal isolation is essential to prevent loss of production, control gas migration, provide protection from corrosive formation waters, reduce water production, and improve confinement of stimulation treatments.

SentinelCem™ Cement
Specifically designed to cure losses and enable further drilling by achieving early static gel strength; helps achieve zonal isolation by accomplishing intended top of cement.
GasStop™ Cement
Performs effectively in wells with overpressured zones with the potential for fluid influx into the annulus through unset cement using specially tuned systems.
Halliburton LIGHT Cement (HLC)
A versatile, economical filler cementing composition for applications requiring low or variable slurry density.
NeoCem™ Cement
NeoCem™ is a portfolio of low-Portland cement systems that delivers high-performance compressive strength, elasticity, and shear bond at lower densities than conventional cement systems — enabling dependable barriers tailored to minimize risk and maximize production.
LifeSeal™ Cements
Foamed cement solution designed for situations where conditions require a cement with greater elasticity, resiliency and the ability to react and respond to cement sheath failure by expanding to seal off unwanted flow should hydrocarbon flow through microannuli or cracks in the cement sheath at any point during the life of the well.
Tuned® Light Cement
Designed to perform effectively in wells with where loss of circulation with conventional weighted cement slurries might occur.
ThermaSeal™ Cements
Foamed cementing solution designed to function effectively in high temperature wellbores while providing additional benefits of increased compressibility and elasticity.
ReverCem™ Cement
Conventional cementing solution designed to effectively circulate down the annulus forming an annular seal even when pumped backwards.
