Extend the reservoir’s economic life by effectively inhibiting downhole scale

ScaleFightR® service inhibits downhole scale deposition with slow-release, long-lasting chemicals.

How it works:

We diagnose the source and type of scale in the wellbore and reservoir. Our team designs a tailored solution by selecting the appropriate chemicals and determining the minimum inhibitor concentration (MIC or MEC) needed under specific reservoir and wellbore conditions. ScaleFightR® service can be delivered as a stand-alone or combined with acidizing/fracturing treatments.

ScaleFightR® service includes two main offerings, depending on the predominant type of scale:

  • ScaleFightR® C scale inhibitors are designed to effectively prevent the formation of carbonate scales like calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and iron carbonate (FeCO3).
  • ScaleFightR® S scale inhibitors are designed to prevent the formation of sulfate scales such as barium sulfate (BaSO4), calcium sulfates (CaSO4 H2O), and strontium sulfate (SrSO4).

Applications

  • Stand-alone treatments or can be combined with stimulation treatments, that include hydraulic fracturing, acidizing, and/or gravel-packing
  • Inhibits downhole scale deposition with slow-release, long-lasting chemicals
  • Applicable for downhole scales
  • Effective downhole scale control in the near wellbore
  • Highly compatible with challenging oilfield brines

Benefits

  • Highly effective in both high- and low-temperature applications
  • Non-hazardous products that are very easy to transport, store, and handle
  • Non-corrosive towards most commonly encountered oilfield metallurgies and elastomers in downhole completions
  • Increased production and extended flow assurance
