The Company organized volunteers and planned activities for event attendees and the local community
In July, Halliburton sponsored the annual National Urban League (NUL) Conference in Houston. Halliburton’s Black employee resource group (ERG) BELIEVE (Black Employees Leading in Inclusion, Excellence, Vision, and Education) led efforts to organize volunteers and plan activities, creating a valuable experience for event attendees and the Houston community.
Halliburton’s Myrtle Jones, senior vice president of Tax, BELIEVE executive sponsor, and NUL conference chair, during her Welcome Reception speech, kicked off the four-day event by highlighting NUL’s impact on our communities and the significance of Halliburton’s sponsorship. “We all strive for an equitable, safe environment for our employees to live and work – a community of highly motivated, educated, and talented individuals. The National Urban League is working diligently to achieve a multifaceted community. What’s good for the community is good for Halliburton,” Jones said.
Halliburton employees were actively involved throughout the event:
On Saturday, the Conference opened its doors to the public for Community Day. Employees, Recruiting Inclusive Students into Energy (RISE) scholars, and Halliburton volunteers participated at the Halliburton booth and other volunteer events:
