In celebration of International Charity Day on Sept. 5, we look back at the charitable giving efforts our employees organized over the last several months. In line with our giving pillars, their efforts support Halliburton’s commitment to education, the environment, health & safety, and social services.

Halliburton employees organize and participate in charity events around the world.

  1. National Urban League Conference: Halliburton sponsored the annual National Urban League (NUL) Conference in Houston. Halliburton’s Black employee resource group (ERG) BELIEVE (Black Employees Leading in Inclusion, Excellence, Vision, and Education) led efforts to organize volunteers and plan activities, creating a valuable experience for event attendees and the Houston community.

  2. Rebuilding Together: Halliburton’s Veterans Leadership Forum (VLF) ERG teamed up with Rebuilding Together to tackle two Houston-area home improvement efforts. Over two days, the Halliburton team sent 75 volunteers to the homes of a local senior citizen and a local veteran to complete a range of projects.

  3. Panama Children’s Hospital: Employees and their families collected donations for the Hospital del Niño in Panama at Family Day – a joyous event focused on community, collaboration, and fun. The group collected and later donated diapers, formula, and other hygiene items for infants and children at the children's hospital.

  4. Suez University: Halliburton granted Suez University a $50 million exploration & production (E&P) software bundle to deliver curricula, support thesis projects, and conduct advanced research. The grant included DecisionSpace® 365 applications and other Halliburton Landmark software solutions. Halliburton regularly provides in-kind donations to colleges and universities around the world as part of its efforts to prepare the next generation of oil and gas workers.

  5. Touching Lives: As part of their annual community outreach, the Women Sharing Excellence (WSE) - Africa employee resource group organized the “Touching Lives” event in Mozambique, Senegal, and Ghana. More than 100 children received food, shoes, and school supplies.
