October marks Energy Awareness Month, a chance to spotlight the innovators behind the future of energy. At Halliburton, we develop technologies that improve global energy security, service quality and safety, and digital innovation.

We interviewed five employees who are Recognized in Red—individuals whose work exemplifies precision, purpose, and performance. Their stories reflect the mindset required to shape the energy industry, from the field to the cloud.

Being Recognized in Red means advancing innovation that strengthens global energy access and inspires smarter solutions for tomorrow. These employees demonstrate the technical excellence and forward-thinking approach that define our industry’s future.

Melissa Pardo Altamar: advancing digital fracturing across continents

Melissa delivers digital innovation in hydraulic fracturing, applying advanced technologies like OCTIV® digital fracturing services to improve safety and operational efficiency.

She began her career in Colombia as an associate technical professional and now leads transformation initiatives in Australia. Her cross-regional collaboration supports reliable energy solutions aligned with Halliburton’s focus on continuous improvement and a balanced energy mix.

“It is a reminder that the work we do in the field has a global impact, and I am proud to be part of this team,” Melissa said.

Being Recognized in Red reflects the pride she takes in representing Halliburton’s values and her focus on growth. “It is an honor that motivates me to keep pushing boundaries,” she added.

Duan Haspella: championing collaboration across Indonesia

After nearly two decades at Halliburton, Duan has grown from a young engineer in geothermal projects to a business development leader in cementing. His career spans technical roles and leadership positions, marked by award-winning contributions and mentorship.

“What I value most is the teamwork and collaboration that made these achievements possible,” Duan said. For Duan, Halliburton is more than a workplace, it is a second family. Being Recognized in Red reflects the strong relationships and shared purpose that have shaped his journey.

Duan’s story illustrates how Halliburton combines global best practices with local expertise to support Indonesia’s energy needs both onshore and offshore.
