ADIPEC 2022, the world’s largest and most inclusive gathering for the energy industry, concluded in Abu Dhabi on November 3. The four-day event, which drew more than 100,000 visitors, provided Halliburton with an excellent opportunity to introduce new products and engage with customers, investors, suppliers, and other key influencers.

More than 100 Halliburton employees attended the event, including Halliburton Chairman, President, and CEO Jeff Miller, Eastern Hemisphere leaders Joe Rainey and Sid Whyte, and Middle East and Northern Africa region leaders Lance Loeffler and Zaid Khadra, along with numerous Middle East country leaders and representatives from Halliburton’s 13 product service lines. Team members from the Investor Relations, Human Resources, Supply Chain and Communications groups attended to visit with existing and prospective investors, suppliers, job seekers and members of the media.

Mr. Miller provided a Halliburton ADIPEC highlight when he participated in the strategic panel, “Reconciling Upstream Oil and Gas Investment and the Energy Transition to Meet Global Energy Demand Growth,” alongside Mubadala Energy CEO Mansoor Mohamed Al Hamed and chairman of the Libyan National Oil Corporation Farhat Bengdara.

During the panel, Mr. Miller said, “I’m really encouraged for what I see for our industry. I think the balanced conversation around energy reality is one that is desperately needed…we need pragmatism and reality. We want to produce more, and we want to reduce emissions – both are journeys our industry knows how to execute.”

Halliburton saw tremendous booth traffic all four days of ADIPEC. Many current and prospective customers visited to hear one of the 20 technical presentations given or to learn more about the four new products the company introduced during the conference. These new products included:

  • The BrightStar® look-ahead resistivity service, the most recent addition to the Halliburton iStar™ drilling and logging platform, which reveals the path ahead of the bit to deliver superior drilling performance and consistent well delivery.
  • The FloConnect® surface automation platform, a fully automated and scalable solution for efficient and safe surface well testing operations, which controls, measures, and analyzes surface well testing through automated workflows that improve personnel safety and lower exposure to hazardous and complex operations.
  • The NeoCem™ E+ and EnviraCem™ cement solutions that require up to 70 percent less Portland cement content, which helps customers lower their carbon emissions baselines and provides engineered cement systems with enhanced cement sheath performance.

In addition, several Halliburton employees participated in technical sessions at the conference. Zainub Noor, director, Scouting and Innovation, Halliburton Labs participated in four invitation-only leadership roundtables with industry leaders, ministers, and policy makers on key topics, such as tackling the methane challenge, accelerating green hydrogen, the role of IOCs and NOCs in a low carbon world, and digital technologies and capabilities for transformation success. Zainub discussed Halliburton’s digitalization strategy and its efforts to reduce emissions while helping its customers meet energy demands across the globe.

Guy Tennant, area vice president, Halliburton Southern Gulf region, said, “ADIPEC 2022 brought employees from across the region and around the world together to have meaningful discussions with customers and suppliers and to showcase our industry-leading innovative technologies and sustainable solutions. I am so thankful for the many employees who helped make ADIPEC 2022 such a huge success for Halliburton.”
