SMU Cox School of Business presented Chairman, President, and CEO Jeff Miller with the L. Frank Pitts Energy Leadership Award.
The Maguire Energy Institute at SMU Cox School of Business presented Halliburton Chairman, President, and CEO Jeff Miller with the L. Frank Pitts Energy Leadership Award at a luncheon ceremony on its campus last month. The Maguire Institute honored Jeff for his ethical leadership and long-term impact on the energy industry.
The Institute created the award to honor the legacy of Texas oilman L. Frank Pitts, a successful independent oil and natural gas producer who served as a member of the Maguire Energy Institute Advisory Board. Past award winners include notable names in the energy industry, such as former Halliburton Board member Ray Hunt and former U.S. Secretary of State and Exxon Chairman and CEO Rex Tillerson. This year marked the 11th annual leadership awards event, which raises funds to provide scholarships for energy students.
When asked about what the award meant to him, Jeff said, “I am grateful for the men and women at Halliburton who make any recognition like this possible.”
