President and Director, Hunt Consolidated, Inc.
Mr. Hernandez currently serves as President of Hunt Consolidated, Inc., a diversified multinational company with operations in oil and gas exploration and production, LNG, refining, power, real estate, ranching, and energy technology. He also has served as director of Hunt Consolidated since 2019 and several of its principal operating subsidiaries, including Hunt Oil Company. Mr. Hernandez has served as President of Hunt Consolidated since 2025, and during 2019-2022. In addition, during 2023-2024 he served as Chairman and Managing Director of Hunt Consolidated.
As President, he guides capital allocation, strategic priorities, and key business decisions across Hunt’s businesses and oversees Hunt’s shared services organization, including human resources, information technology, legal, security, and finance, supporting a diverse portfolio of operating companies. Mr. Hernandez brings to our Board extensive C-suite leadership experience across energy and industrial businesses, including expertise in corporate strategy, capital allocation, financial oversight, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and governance. His experience spans oil and gas, refining, power, real estate, and technology investments, providing valuable insight into the operational and strategic challenges facing complex global businesses.
Strategic Planning, Accounting/Finance: Mr. Hernandez has held senior leadership roles spanning business operations, strategy, finance, legal, tax, compliance, and corporate governance. As President of Hunt Consolidated, Inc., he oversees key corporate functions and helps guide capital allocation, strategic priorities, and investment decisions across a diversified portfolio of businesses. Prior to joining Hunt, Mr. Hernandez served as Vice President of Tax for Electronic Data Systems (EDS), where he reported to the Chief Financial Officer and Audit Committee on global tax matters. His experience and qualifications meet SEC standards for an “audit committee financial expert” as defined by SEC rules. Mr. Hernandez earned a J.D. from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce.
Health, Safety & Environment and Sustainability: As President of Hunt Consolidated, Mr. Hernandez brings extensive leadership experience in enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, operational oversight, and environmental and safety considerations associated with complex energy and industrial operations.
Human Resources/Compensation: Mr. Hernandez has direct responsibility for Hunt Consolidated's shared services organization, including human resources, organizational leadership, workforce strategy, talent management, and compensation oversight across the Hunt family of companies. He also previously served as Chair of the Human Capital Committee of Strategic Growth Bank Incorporated.
Technology/Engineering: Throughout his career, Mr. Hernandez has advised on a broad range of domestic and international energy projects and business initiatives, including oil and gas exploration and development, LNG projects, refining operations, electric power infrastructure, real estate investments, and emerging energy technology ventures. Prior to joining Hunt, he spent a decade at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), where he gained additional experience navigating technology industry transformation and business change. This experience provides valuable insight into the operational, commercial, technological, and strategic challenges facing global energy companies.
