Halliburton Landmark gave an E&P software grant to Suez University in Egypt. The software will aid the university's students in their future careers in the energy industry.
Halliburton granted Suez University a $50 million exploration & production (E&P) software bundle to deliver curricula, support thesis projects, and conduct advanced research. The grant includes DecisionSpace® 365 applications and other Halliburton Landmark software solutions.
A public university located in Egypt, Suez University graduates nearly 150 students from its Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering each year. The university equips students with theoretical knowledge and practical experiences to aid in their future careers in the energy industry.
“We are excited for this grant from Halliburton,” said Dr. Adel Salem, head of the Petroleum Engineering Department at Suez University. “The software will help us get our students ready to work in the E&P industry in Egypt and around the world.”
Suez University will use the software to broaden the research scope and capabilities of undergraduates, postgraduates, and faculty. The grant allows students to put their theories into practice and helps to bridge the gap between academia and industry in a way that was previously unavailable.
“The oil and gas industry has an urgent need to help foster the next generation of E&P talent,” said Nagaraj Srinivasan, senior vice president of Landmark, Halliburton Digital Solutions and Consulting. “This grant will help students conduct advanced research, create digital innovations, and transform theoretical knowledge into practical applications.”
