The Halliburton steady-flow separator equipment is pressurized to deliver steady cement flow to offshore recirculating mixing systems. The separator is ASME-coded for 80 psi, but operates at 6 to 9 psi. In addition, the steadyflow separator equipment will gravity-feed to a hopper for jet-mixing systems.
Smoother delivery of bulk cement to the recirculating mixing system is facilitated in two ways. The separator includes explosion-proof light and sight glasses on three sides to allow operators to easily monitor bulk material inside the tank. When more precision is required, an optional M-D Pressurized Load Scale can be fitted to the system to accurately measure the weight of the material in the tank.
The steady-flow separator equipment can provide the following benefits:
It can be added to any existing RCM® mixing-system installation. This separator is recommended for inclusion with all new RCM® IIIr mixing-system skids.
Steady-flow separator equipment can produce steady flow on rigs with a history of erratic cement delivery.
