Deliver an engineered drilling solution utilizing RSS to stay in target zone

An operator drilling in the Delaware basin collaborated with Halliburton Sperry Drilling to drill a 9,571’ lateral in 91.79 drilling hours setting a record for drilling days for the operator in the Delaware Basin, beating the previous record by 7.5 days in the entire well (6 days in the lateral). Sperry Drilling listened to the technical challenges and delivered an engineered drilling solution utilizing iCruise® intelligent rotary steerable system with a 8-1/2-inch GeoTech® GTi65DO drill bit matched with the NitroForce™ high-torque, high-flow motor, and stayed 100% in the target zone. This solution resulted in an on bottom ROP of 104’/hr. over the course of the lateral. This well was the culmination of 10.5 days total well, maximizing the operator’s asset value.
