New-generation combinable wireline magnetic resonance
Examine your reservoir’s smallest pores and characterize formations with excellent bed resolution using best-in-class magnetic resonance technology. The Halliburton Xaminer® MR (XMR™) service with its new-generation magnetic resonance (MR) wireline sensor provides full reservoir fluid characterization and formation evaluation.
Designed to address the growing challenges of formation evaluation, it’s fully combinable with our LOGIQ® sensor suites. The Xaminer MR service operates in a wide range of hole sizes and mud systems. It reduces rig time for openhole wireline logging and maximizes drilling rig efficiency.
Vertical resolution in thin beds, carbonates, and organic shales is greatly improved over previous MR sensors with a shorter antenna aperture. Industry-leading pore size characterization for micropores is achieved from a very fast interecho spacing.
Our MR answer products are derived from 2D and 3D solutions. These integrate seamlessly into multisensor answer products like the ShaleXpert™, TurbiditeXpert™, CarbonateXpert™ and TightGasXpert™ services.
Direct reservoir quality assessment is provided from fractionalizing the total MR fluid-filled porosity into components of microporosity, capillary-bound fluids and moveable fluid volume. A continuous permeability estimate is available from multiple methods (Coates, logarithmic mean, and Swanson).
