Real-time measurements in extreme temperature reservoirs

The Quasar Pulse M/LWD service provides directional, gamma ray, and pressure-while-drilling (PWD) measurements and telemetry to place wells accurately in extremely high-pressure and high-temperature (HPHT) environments up to 200°C/392°F.

Monitor downhole conditions in HPHT environments

Real-time drilling-optimization sensors enable precise and cost-effective drilling to maximize asset value and reduce the well time to customers in HPHT conditions.

Access the inaccessible

The system’s rugged sensors are designed to withstand downhole vibrations and are rigorously tested to ensure operational reliability under harsh drilling conditions.

Benefits

  • Access reserves that are inaccessible with conventional LWD tools and geosteer in high-temperature reservoirs, where wells previously had to be drilled "blind"
  • Safe drilling operations by monitoring downhole conditions in real time
  • Save rig time and costs by eliminating extra circulation times and the use of mud coolers

Features

  • Extreme high-temperature 200°C/392°F
  • High-pressure 172MPa (25,000 psi)
  • Directional surveys, with the same accuracy as a standard-temperature system
  • Gamma ray with multiple redundant detectors
  • Annular and bore pressure while drilling
  • Real-time vibration measurements
