In December 2018, Smart Fibres Ltd was wholly acquired by Halliburton Energy Services. Founded in 1919, Halliburton is one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry. By integrating Smart Fibres' technology for downhole distributed pressure sensing with its own distributed temperature sensing and distributed acoustic sensing, Halliburton can engineer solutions with fiber optic technology in oil well monitoring, CO2 underground storage, and geothermal projects.
The majority of Smart Fibres products have now been discontinued, and we are no longer able to offer replacement parts or repair services.
