Intelligent Automation to Maximize Efficiency

To achieve intelligent automation, spread equipment is fitted with sensors across major pumping and wireline components, including engines, transmissions, fluid ends, and power ends. Through live diagnostics and machine-learning, Octiv continuously measures and evaluates plan parameters against job performance and control setpoints. It uses these insights to run our spread more efficiently and reliably.

Using intelligent algorithms, Octiv evaluates horsepower to continuously optimize output during a frac job, such as balancing and redistributing the workload across units to achieve peak engine performance. By balancing the workload in a more intelligent manner, we preserve equipment health, while optimizing gas substitution. When you pair automation with predictive health monitoring, it means longer maintenance internals for us and less NPT due to equipment failure for our customers. Octiv intelligent algorithms also responds to complex hazards, such as screenouts, using advanced controls to automatically assess risks and make adjustments to avoid them.

It provides Halliburton greater transparency into the performance of our people and our equipment, while providing operators with a direct line of sight into job progress and information for confident, real-time decision making.

The Octiv Connect portal is a web application that provides real-time visibility of job progress and design changes, as well as analytics on all historical projects. Through the portal, on-site and remote decision makers have the ability to review, approve and make job changes on the fly.
