Zonal Isolation Devices

Individual reservoir zones must be isolated in order to control flow. Halliburton offers a range of high-performance, field-proven packers and isolation devices with control line bypass capabilities specifically designed for SmartWell® system applications, as well as a line of packers for marginal assets.

HF-1 Packer
HF-1 premium packer is a single-string, retrievable, cased-hole packer that features a facility for bypass of multiple electrical and/or hydraulic control lines. Available for use as both the top production packer and as one of many lower packers isolating adjacent zones, the HF-1 packer can operate under higher loads and greater pressures than standard production packers.
MC Packer
MC series packers, available as both production packers or isolation packers (no slips), are single-string, cased-hole, retrievable packers primarily designed for use in SmartWell system completions. In some instances, the MC production packer has been used as an isolation packer below the primary HF-1 production packer.
Seal Stack Assembly
Seal Stack Assembly isolates individual zones in SmartWell intelligent completions in applications where it is not possible or desirable to use packers for isolation.
