Halliburton's range of Remote Open Close Technology (ROCT) products are designed to simplify well operations by removing wireline runs - making the operation more efficient. The field-proven technology replaces traditional wireline plug and prong equipment, dramatically reducing the number of, or in some cases eliminating all wireline runs from an operation. As a consequence, the technology helps reduce risk and save time by reducing the need to rig-up wireline and all the associated pressure control equipment.
eMotion®-HS Remotely Operated Circulating Valve
Provides high circulation rates without the need for any interventions during completion deployment - saving time and helping to reduce risk.
eMotion® Remotely Operated Downhole Control Unit
A computer-controlled, downhole hydraulic power unit. It is permanently deployed as part of the tubing and is used to remotely open and close a slave valve such as a sliding sleeve or ball valve.
eRED® Ball Valve
A computer-controlled ball valve that can be repeatedly opened and closed by remote command. It is deployed below either a lock or bridge plug and can be used as a downhole barrier or flow control device.

Remote Open Close Technology consists of eRED®, eRED-FB and PowerBall®. With its own power supply that enables it to operate without any surface power lines, each tool has an integrated electronic control module that enables it to carry out pre-programmed instructions either autonomously or by reacting to a command from surface. The main distinction between the three tools is the placement within the well architecture and is therefore application specific.
