Veto™ Subsea Safety Systems

Halliburton Veto™ is a suite of direct hydraulic subsea safety systems that allow customers to safely conduct well tests, deploy completions, and perform workovers in particularly harsh, deepwater environments. Each piece of equipment is designed for the service and environments encountered in today's offshore industry. The result is a world-class suite of highly reliable and safe tools with an extensive global track record.

A variety of well control issues arise during live well conditions when hydrocarbons are being brought to the surface. During drilling, the blowout preventer, drilling fluids, casing and drill string provide the operator with the necessary barriers to perform operations safely and efficiently. During completion, development, and exploratory testing of a well, hydrocarbons are allowed to flow to the surface to clean up the well, test reserves, and provide well data for interpretation. Performing these operations introduces additional risk, and requires specialized equipment for well control, well containment and contingency barriers. This necessitates the use of subsea safety systems enabling operators to conduct offshore operations safely and efficiently.

Halliburton subsea safety systems offer a variety of products for both exploration and completion applications. Subsea safety systems enable primary and contingency well operations to be performed safely, without harm to personnel, equipment or the environment.
