Our portfolio of active and passive magnetic ranging technologies provides accurate well placement for maximum recovery in a wide range of applications—blow-out relief wells, steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) and heavy oil, wellbore intersection, or wellbore avoidance.  

When you’re looking to determine the relative position of two wellbores, we have what it takes. Whether you choose our active magnetic ranging services, which generate a magnetic field, or our passive magnetic ranging services, which rely on the remnant magnetic field of the steel in the target wellbore to generate a magnetic field, we can help you reduce the ellipse of uncertainty every step of the way.

We also offer access-dependent solutions, which depend upon accessing the existing target wellbore to deploy a magnetic source or receiver, or surface-access solutions, which do not require access to the existing (target) wellbore.
