Halliburton Sperry Drilling offers logging-while-drilling (LWD) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) source-less porosity solutions to help you gain insight into the key petrophysical properties of your reservoir through a mineralogy-independent porosity assessment.

Why is a porosity assessment important? It can help you determine the total porosity of your reservoir, movable fluid volume, capillary bound fluid volume, and micro-porosity – essential information to allow you to determine which fluids will and will not produce hydrocarbons. By calculating a qualitative estimate of permeability, you’ll know which reservoir intervals have greater flow, and can better target the sweet spot for increased production.
