For years, operators have been successfully steering extremely challenging wells with the Geo-Pilot® rotary steerable system. The SOLAR™ Geo-Pilot® XL rotary steerable system from Sperry Drilling  builds upon this success, providing all of the proven speed and hole quality benefits of the original Geo-Pilot system but in a hardened, more durable package specifically designed to handle hostile drilling conditions.

The SOLAR Geo-Pilot XL point-the-bit rotary steerable system can work in high temperature up to 347°F (175°C) and high pressure up to 30,000 psi (207 MPa) environments.
