When you’re looking to control direction while drilling very long horizontal wells, the fleet of Geo-Pilot® rotary steerable systems (RSS) from Halliburton Sperry Drilling is your answer. Using continuous, real-time point-the-bit technology, you can extend your time on bottom by reducing torque and drag and mitigating stick-slip in the harshest drilling environments.

The RSS fleet is fully integrated with logging-while-drilling (LWD) sensors and InSite® real-time data management service for a complete drilling and formation evaluation package. By incorporating a mud motor between the RSS and LWD systems, you’ll attain greater horsepower, maximizing the rate of penetration (ROP).  With near-bit measurements, you can reduce trip time and control mud losses.  Our RSS fleet can also withstand high-pressure [30,000 psi (207 MPa)], high-temperature [347°F (175°C)] environments so you won’t have to sacrifice hole quality or precise wellbore placement.
