The “J” profile well was planned to evaluate hydrocarbon potential in a reservoir located under a multi-fault block near a salt dome. Downhole stress could impact build capability during drilling and make it difficult to achieve the planned well trajectory, which had a maximum inclination of 28.5 degrees and azimuth of 165 degrees.
