A Barnett Shale Operator was contemplating available options for wells that have been producing for a number of years.
Casing integrity issues
This horizontal well was drilled to facilitate maximize exposure to the Barnett Shale. During the original completion, the casing in the vertical section of the well parted with only 50% of the stimulation program completed.
Re-stimulation of well with collapsed casing
The original completion of this 1500 = lateral included :ve fracturing stages. Upon reentry to drill out bridge plugs, collapsed casing prevented access to the bottom 70% of the completion interval.
