Improved drill bit design enhances hydraulic performance and drilling fluid efficiency

While drilling with a conventional drill bit, fluid flow in the vicinity of cutting elements or cutting structures may be very turbulent and may inhibit or even prevent upward flow of formation cuttings from the bottom and up the wellbore. New advancements in fluid flow optimization and control help to greatly reduce and even eliminate these problems. Our latest design platform is focused on removing cuttings from crucial areas of the cutting structure and the wellbore by changing the arm geometry to create directed flow channels. This in turn produces higher ROP and extends bit life through the efficient removal of cuttings.
The series also includes the QuadPack® features: high-speed bearing with increased bearing capacity, greater seal reliability, stronger arms with more surface area for greater stability and the most responsive pressure compensation system. These longevity features, combined with hydraulic efficiency, provides the customer extreme reliability at the highest rates of penetration.
