Halliburton is pleased to announce the acquisition of Diamond Rotating Heads Inc. (DRH) on March 26, 2010. Halliburton will operate the business of Diamond Rotating Heads within the Sperry Drilling product service line.

The benefits we expect to realize as a result of this move include:

  • Technology:  Diamond’s low and medium rotating control devices (RCDs) together with Halliburton’s high pressure RCDs will build product line strength and improve our offering for our clients.
  • Personnel:  Both companies are recognized for their expertise and exceptional people. By bringing the two together, we will further diversify and strengthen the skills offered by our employees.
  • Service Quality: Both organizations have had a strong focus on service quality, and going forward we will continue to take a proactive, “can-do” approach with customers, building on our collective strengths.

The current DRH organization will become part of the Sperry Drilling GeoBalance® optimized pressure drilling services sub-PSL under the leadership of Derrick W. Lewis. Matt Wiggins, DRH operations manager, and Jimmy Tindol, DRH global sales manager, will be part of the GeoBalance services’ management team and report to Derrick W. Lewis.
