Colorado has a long history and significant ongoing activity in oil and gas development. Over two thirds of the counties in the state have active wells in them with over 26,000 wells in total statewide.
We are featuring typical fluid formulations for two of the most active basins; the Denver Julesburg (DJ) and Piceance Basins. The two DJ wells are typical of work done in Weld county where over 40% of the state's wells can be found. The Piceance well is representative of much of the work being carried out in Rio Blanco county.
