Z-MAP Plus™ software enables users to create interpretive geologic surfaces and faults with unprecedented speed and accuracy. The integration of Z-MAP Plus software technology with Landmark's OpenWorks® data management environment allows users to create more accurate subsurface models by incorporating data and interpretations from geophysical, geologic, petrophysical, geocellular and simulation models.

Mapping workflow productivity
Z-MAP Plus software is integrated with Landmark's new PowerView® interpretation workspace providing interpreters the ability to streamline their mapping workflows. In addition, improved gridding algorithms, contouring methods, and analysis tools enhance the user's analysis and map making activities.
Accurate interpretations and confident surface mapping
Z-MAP Plus visualization tools provide for viewing and analyzing all relevant data types concurrently. Visual integration with multidiscipline data and with SeisWorks® horizon and fault data supports innovative workflows that help ensure accurate interpretations and confident surface mapping.
Features
Mapping and modeling workflow integration
Z-MAP Plus software efficiently integrates surface mapping and modeling tasks into E&P workflows through direct access to OpenWorks and SeisWorks sessions. Users can access well production, completions, paleo, horizon and fault picks, seismic attributes, and petrophysical zone properties. Concurrent usage of Z-MAP Plus MFDs and OpenWorks data is supported.
Z-MAP application users can read 2-D and 3-D horizon data directly from SeisWorks software, then generate grids on the fly and save to MFD, OpenWorks, and write gridded surfaces back to SeisWorks application as a horizon.
GeoCalculator
Z-Map application users can now build single or dual grid and data operations using the GeoCalculator feature. Use GeoCalculator to build multiple equations from MFD or OpenWorks files. Equations can be saved and recalled.
Refinement and B-Spline gridding
Two new gridding algorithms are now available through Z MAP PowerView software. Refinement Gridding takes full advantage of the large memory reserves of modern computers, and B-Spline gridding is a high-speed algorithm for generating un-faulted surface models from scattered data. Both algorithms increase gridding accuracy and decrease grid generation cycle time.
Point Gridding Plus™
The Point Gridding Plus™ utility offers many features to improve workflow ease-of-use, including a user friendly method for generating accurate faulted surface models, intelligent default parameters for surface modeling, advanced user controls for smoothing and extrapolation, and the ability to lock customized parameters to individual projects.
Trend Form Gridding™
Using geologic constraints, Trend Form Gridding™ options generate maps that honor structural or stratigraphic form. The Z-MAP Plus Modeling menu provides direct access to MFDs and to OpenWorks applications.
Contouring
Z-MAP PowerView software incorporates new contouring methods that utilize the generated grids in a more efficient way. The surface contours are rapidly generated with greater accuracy, allowing you to display fault line style annotations, and improve the color filling of regions surrounding null values.
Contour and color fill options include: displays of essential parameters for contouring and color fill; grid minimum/maximum values and dynamic contour levels information are displayed; and easily specified font and color control for labels and lines.

New color and font selection controls
Accurate reservoir volumetrics
Z-Map software offers two levels of volumetric accuracy for reservoir characterization or preliminary economic viability reports.
Volumes can be computed within areal constraints such as map boundaries, lease polygons and fault blocks, or by reservoir grid and data attributes such as N/G ratio and porosity. The Water Saturation module computes water saturation using porosity curves to improve the accuracy of volumetrics for equity determinations.
Data management
Directory Paths and Directory Browse utilities simplify and speed up data management tasks.
The new File Manager allows users to quickly copy or move files by dragging and dropping between MFD’s, ZGF’s and OpenWorks applications. Users can also copy, rename, and delete pictures between ZGF’s. Z-MAP software provides automatic compression of MFD’s and ZGF’s with intelligent file renaming and deletion of the uncompressed files. Users can sort files by name, type, size and date using column headers. The File Manager simplifies the process of creating multiple base maps with a simple copy/paste feature.
Z-MAP software leverages OpenWorks data management capabilities for data protection, sharing and archival.
Multiple and dynamically linked windows
PowerView data viewing functionality provides multiple and dynamically linked windows to support simultaneous visualization and analysis of geologic, geophysical, petrophysical, geocellular and simulation models. Each window or layers within a view can have its own independent color bar to bring out the subtle characteristics of each data type.
Seismic volume scanning
Layering features in your display allow you to overlay a surface model onto your seismic data then scan the through the seismic data at any given interval. This will allow you to quickly and easily visualize, QC and correct your model.
New labeling features
PowerView functionality offers a variety of high quality font typefaces and fault line styles for labeling features in your map displays.
Licensing Options
Z-MAP Plus software offers four licensing options (Engineering, Geophysical, Full, and 3DViewer) to help companies meet individual workflow requirements.
