Velocity modeling and depth conversion for interpreters
Landmark created DepthTeam Express™ software specifically for interpreters who need a velocity modeling and depth conversion solution. The user interface, integrated data access and 3D visualization make DepthTeam Express technology an integral part of every interpretation workflow.

DepthTeam Express software provides easy-to-use tools for accessing all pertinent data and quickly creating a velocity model. Each step in the velocity modeling process allows you to quality control, and then correct, common data problems.

You may use the final velocity model to more accurately depth convert seismic data, interpreted horizons and faults. The velocity model, stored in the OpenWorks® database, may also be accessed by other applications to support impedance inversions, AVO analysis or pressure prediction.

Benefits
Interpreter control focuses their project specific expertise
Historically, a modeling specialist completed the cumbersome process of velocity modeling. Using DepthTeam Express technology, the person who knows the area and data the best …quot; the interpreter …quot; can build velocity models accurately and quickly. It provides all the tools the interpreter needs to easily analyze, edit and quality control input data. This enables the interpreter's expertise to ensure the best final velocity model.

Reduced cycle time
Integrated data access, automated input data calibration and easy-to-use analysis and editing tools combine to significantly reduce workflow cycle time for velocity modeling. DepthTeam Express software puts velocity modeling tools in the hands of the interpreter, eliminating the need to send data to a specialist to build the velocity model.

Optimized well locations
A velocity modeling process that is fully integrated with the interpreter's workflow leads to a more accurate subsurface model and ultimately well placement.

Features
Inverse distance interpolators

Additional interpolation options ensure that your velocity model fits your geologic interpretation.

Top/Bottom/Conformal options
Interpolation options help the model honor the geologic environment, such as prograding systems, transgressing systems or erosional unconformity.

Linear velocity analysis
Analytic velocity determination enables V(0) and K values to be estimated from well information.

Individual well pick selection
Increase confidence in your velocity model through interactive well pick selection. If a well pick looks anomalous, you can investigate it, or just turn it off.

3D Dix inversion
Improvements to the 3D Dix inversion give more stable and rapid results.

Supports average velocity maps
Average velocity maps can be used to create an interval velocity volume. Flexibility in model building is enhanced by enabling usage of more data types.

Depth-Interval velocity volume import
"Depthing" workflow made easy via direct import of 3D PSDM velocity models.

DecisionSpace Desktop® and SeisWorks® integration
Easy archiving and/or transfer between partners and vendors, through a direct velocity model export to OpenWorks or SeisWorks seismic data formats. Enhanced access to Landmark interpretation software velocity maps enables more data types to be used during model generation.

Deviated well data support
Application of time-depth information from deviated wells improves the velocity model and increases accuracy of depth conversions to within 1 meter.

Structural interpolation
Structural interpolation of sparse input data guided by interpreted horizons and faults improves accuracy of velocity models and depth conversions.

Velocity model extract
A velocity trace can be extracted at any location in the model or along proposed deviated well paths.

Easy to learn
Intuitive workflows and a consistent graphical user interface make DepthTeam Express easy to use. You do not have to be an expert to get accurate velocity modeling results fast.

3D Visualization
As you build the velocity model, the 3-D viewer allows you to analyze each data type in the context of other relevant data types. The data can be viewed from any perspective to reveal complex spatial relationships.

Easy data access
Direct connections to OpenWorks, SeisWorks®, SeisSpace/ProMAX® and Sierra®, make finding and loading different data types as easy as selecting your project and clicking on the data you need. SEGY and general ASCII format velocity data can also be read into DepthTeam Express.

Automated data calibration
Automated data calibration lets you quickly calibrate velocity data from many sources, including seismic derived velocities, time-depth tables, and pseudo velocities from well data. A specialist is no longer required to combine different data types into an integrated velocity model.

Sub-Gridding
For large, densely gridded volumes, data calibration and data display can be very slow and time consuming. The Sub-Gridding feature provides an option for lowering the number of grid nodes to be manipulated during data analysis. This feature can increase performance by 7-10 times.

Crossplots & Histograms
Crossplots and histograms can be generated from the data located in most tables or reports. Direct links and interactivity between crossplots, histograms and data tables streamlines analysis and your ability to identify anomalous data.
