Business Challenge
Historically, the exploration and production lifecycle has been broken up into different phases, with the work and teams aligned to each phase. Once a team finished its part, the data or results were passed on to the next team and phase for analysis. Work through the phases was done sequentially with little collaboration among teams across phases. Today, technology advances have made possible a new model of dynamic collaboration. The benefits offered by this model include improved productivity, reduced cycle times, minimized risk and uncertainty, holistic views of projects and more information to make better decisions. But what tools are available today to help realize this paradigm shift? How will they affect your existing business processes? How will they help improve your current business processes?

Overview
AssetView™ 3D oilfield visualization software is optimized for the DecisionSpace environment, to provide an integrated, visualization workspace for your asset team. It is Landmark’s next-generation, multipurpose, three-dimensional (3D) visualization tool that was designed for the needs of the entire asset team, including geophysicists, geologists, reservoir engineers, drilling engineers and others. While each member of the asset team may be responsible for different aspects of the reservoir and thus think of it differently, the AssetView software solution allows the members of this team to visualize their collective analysis in a single 3D representation for dynamic collaboration. The ability to collaborate concurrently and dynamically significantly improves productivity, shortens cycle times, and improves the quality of the team’s interpretation and the final outcome. For example, working in AssetView technology, the geophysicist on the asset team may take the lithology and fluid predictions from 3D pre-stack seismic, synthetic and well data and combine them with structural interpretations from PowerView® software to develop the structural framework and reservoir models. Using this earth model data, the geoscientists and drilling engineers on the team can then define targets and well plans. Once drilling begins, all members of the asset team may use the real-time data from the rig to monitor drilling operations, compare actual well versus plan, and collect LWD (logging-while-drilling) information in AssetView software.
