AssetPlanner™ Field Development Planning Software

Description    |   Features   |    System Requirements

Field development path planning and targeting
Landmark's AssetPlanner™ application enables asset teams to automatically generate field development scenarios including target generation, path planning and platform requirements/positioning.

AssetPlanner software technology is ideal for both new field and mature field development, with the planning features enabling users to rapidly generate multiple iterations of planning scenarios for sensitivity or economic analysis. Asset teams can generate path plans for field development in hours instead of weeks.

AssetPlanner software is part of the industry's most integrated and comprehensive suite of directional planning applications including TracPlanner™ and PrecisionTarget™ systems. The suite leverages the AssetView™ 3D visualization environment for collaborative well planning.

Benefits
Reduced cycle time
Develop multiple field development planning scenarios in hours, instead of weeks or months. Geoscientists and engineers can work in a single, collaborative environment.

Rapid scenario analysis and costing
AssetPlanner software generates time and cost information, including contingency costs, for individual plans as well as the entire development prospect.  Users can quickly determine if development plans are within budget or meet economic and time thresholds.  Development scenarios can be quickly regenerated based on planning or requirement changes, enabling asset teams to rapidly iterate through planning scenarios and fine tune them to meet geologic, engineering and economic objectives.

Enhanced collaboration
Asset teams can work together in a single application to perform detailed field development planning using existing data, existing infrastructure, engineering constraints, and subsurface models. AssetPlanner software integrates the engineering aspects of well planning with geology and geophysics to encourage communication and collaboration across disciplines.

Features
Auto-target on reservoir characteristics

AssetPlanner software allows users to automatically generate targets against various reservoir models such as S-grids and VIP vdb files.  Auto-targeting can also be performed against a seismic volume.  This application provides the ability to target on filtered attributes within these models.

Automatically determine platform or pad requirements
AssetPlanner tools will automatically determine the optimum number of platforms or pads required to complete field development. If an existing infrastructure is in place, the user has the option to utilize existing structures for planning purposes.  AssetPlanner software will determine the optimum origin for path plans based on existing surface locations.

Scope project costs
Enables users to estimate costs for the field development plans based on the number of platforms, number of wellpaths, and wellpath designs.  This automatically updates when platforms or wellpaths are modified.

Data integration
Integrates with OpenWorks® data stores, allowing users to store their projects in the industry’s most widely used project data store.  Using existing reservoir models, users can automatically create targets and path plans then save them to the OpenWorks database.

Application integration
AssetPlanner tools integrate with TracPlanner, PrecisionTarget, and COMPASS™ software.  Individual wellpaths can be modified with TracPlanner, individual targets can be modified with PrecisionTarget tools. Field development plans can be imported directly into COMPASS software for rigorous path plan optimization including Anti-Collision analysis.

Advanced wellpath design
AssetPlanner software offers basic and advanced modes for automated path planning.  Advanced mode allows the user to specify the type of trajectories to be generated and rank them in the order of precedence.  Complicated multi-lateral and horizontal wells can be generated to increase target coverage in slot limited environments.  User has full control of the parameters used in the planning process.

Automated hazard generation and avoidance
Hazard areas can be manually defined in a 3D visual environment.  Additionally, hazards can be automatically defined based on subsurface attributes or by specifying faults.  AssetPlanner software will automatically avoid penetrating these areas with plans during the auto planning process.  “No Go” areas can also be delineated at surface to define areas where platforms/pads should not be positioned.  AssetPlanner software will avoid positioning platforms in these areas.
