Production operations span the reservoir, wells, gathering network and facilities, and involve almost continuous operation over the production phase of an asset’s lifecycle. As a result, experts from diverse disciplines, often in multiple locations, employ numerous technologies to execute various workflows, each trying to achieve distinct but interrelated objectives.

AssetObserver™ operating environment enables ready integration of the diverse data sources and technologies employed in production operations. It is the Web-based operating system that provides a common platform for DecisionSpace Production™, Landmark’s integrated production operations solution, to create a collaborative virtual operations environment.

AssetLink Observer™ is the base operating system that uses a Web-based, services-oriented architecture to enable total asset awareness by bringing data to the desktop.

Data connectivity, mapping and validation are achieved with ease. Through a highly intuitive user interface, the integral business rules engine brings visibility to relevant production data in real time, with common and role-based views.

Numerous standardized, yet user modifiable, reports can be generated and shared via secure access provided to any remote user.

Ease of connectivity to common production applications and databases, as well as the modular DecisionSpace Production solution applications, is provided by a wide range of connectors.

Security, stability and integrity functionalities are extensive and provide the high level of assurance necessary to commit production critical information to a common dependable source.

AssetLink Advisor™ operating environment introduces additional functionality to enable management by
exception.

The system instantly notifies users by e-mail, SMS, pager or the Web user interface when issues arise so that timely action can be taken to improve production performance and mitigate loss. System- and user-defined business rules with predefined action plans determine who should be notified about a specific problem and when.

Advisories are prioritized based on certain events and business logic. Rules can be defined to promote/escalate any unresolved events to management based on certain predefined parameters for time, cost and severity. Advisories are captured and stored in the user interface for further scrutiny as required for key performance indicator (KPI) or scorecard alignment.

AssetLink Director™ operating environment incorporates additional functionality to deliver a business process management engine capable of orchestrating the production operations workflows. It facilitates timely collaboration around the workflows to execute for sustainable production optimization.

Workflows are initiated by the system on exception as events and status indicate, routinely where scheduled, and/or by stakeholders in the organization. Asset-specific workflows can be constructed, or proprietary production operations workflows can be incorporated and modified, to reflect asset-specific requirements.Workflow effectiveness and efficiency are monitored and can be viewed in real time or analyzed to identify bottlenecks and disconnects.
