Diacel D™ Cement Additive
Diacel D™ cement additive is a special grade of diatomaceous earth with an extensive surface area. A lightweight cement additive, Diacel D additive helps decrease slurry density and increase slurry volume. It can be used at bottomhole temperatures (BHTs) between 80° and 290°F (27° and 143°C). Typical additive concentrations are 10 to 40% by weight of cement (BWOC).
Diacel D additive can provide the following benefits:
- It has a shelf-life of 24 months.
- It helps increase slurry viscosity.
- It is a stable product that will not exhibit hazard polymerization.
- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) does not list Diacel D additive as a hazardous waste.
