Pressure-Balanced Tool Helps Prevent Stuck Logging Strings

The saddest face at the wellsite belongs to the operator who just realized that an expensive logging string has become stuck in the wellbore. Our LockJar® system dramatically reduces the risks associated with stuck strings that can provoke expensive operating delays, fishing jobs, or the possible loss of expensive equipment spreads or high-tech logging tools.

The LockJar system arrives at the wellsite ready to run by your on-site logging crew, and no special operators or complex training sessions are required. The system can be adjusted at the site to begin metering the jar with a surface pull ranging from 1,700 to 4,000 pounds. The pressure-balanced tool can function reliably in reservoir temperatures of up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and at pressures up to 22,500 psi.
