The business connection to the Engineer’s Data Model
Landmark is focused on enabling the Digital Asset™ through the open and scalable DecisionSpace® environment, providing multi-disciplinary integration and optimization.
|
One of the main proof points for supporting our legacy of openness with the DecisionSpace environment is the availability of several new Software Development Kits (SDKs). One of these is the Engineer’s Data Model (EDM™) SDK.
Business Challenge
Does your organization have engineering data in multiple data stores? Is the data being leveraged across your engineering application suite? Or would having a common repository for all your applications (regardless of vendor), and sharing this engineering data with other members of the asset team be of value in streamlining workflows?
The Solution
The Engineer’s Data Model Software Development Kit (SDK) is offered externally to both customers and commercial software vendors. It enables software developers to connect proprietary or other vendors’ databases and applications directly with the data in EDM.
Benefits
-
Eases integration - provides access to all data in EDM through either a standard object connect or a set of predefined business objects,
-
Enhances existing applications - create seamless workflows by linking EDM data to newly developed applications, existing proprietary or other vendors’ applications,
-
Improve data integrity and data currency by using a supported API,
-
Minimizes maintenance – the SDK allows data model changes independent of application changes,
-
Leverages your current investment in EDM.
System Requirements
R2003 release of the Engineer’s Data Model SDK supports both 2003.16 and 2003.21 releases of EDM.
R5000 release of the Engineer’s Data Model SDK supports R5000 release of EDM.
