Hydraulics Management

Hydraulics management focuses on:

  • maintaining annular pressures within wellbore pressure boundaries
  • optimizing hole cleaning and clean-up cycles
  • optimizing circulating system pressures
  • maximizing ROP without exceeding mud weight windows
  • optimizing tripping time

The ADT service specialist models static and real-time hydraulics and torque and drag to predict the expected drilling conditions. Advanced drill-ahead hydraulics software is used to model the location and severity of cuttings bed build up and hole cleaning efficiency. Hydraulics models can predict the effect of temperature, pressure and compressibility on downhole mud properties and resulting hole cleaning efficiency and system pressures.

AcoustiCaliperâ„¢ MWD Tool
Provides borehole caliper measurements. Diameter can be used to calculate wellbore volume.
Applied Fluids Optimization (AFO)
Optimize your fluids program through a proven philosophy of modeling, measuring and optimizing by expert personnel whose recommendations help operators make decisions that can prevent or reduce NPT, optimize drilling and start production sooner.
Connection Flow Monitor Software (CFM)
Automated Mud Flow Characterization for Early Detection of Kicks and Wellbore Breathing: Provides early detection of changing conditions and triggers alarms to alert the engineer.
EWS Early Warning System
Allows rapid response to any unpredicted change in the mud flow or standpipe pressure.
Pressure-While-Drilling (PWD) Services
Provides annular pressure, internal pressure and temperature measurements. Aids in detecting lost circulation and flow/kicks before they happen.
