High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT)

In some drilling environments, conditions are such that special formation evaluation tools must be used that can withstand them. For example, temperatures exceeding 400°F or pressures exceeding 30,000 PSI, or both, are not that uncommon.

Halliburton can reliably provide the measurements needed even in these extreme conditions.

ExtremeHT-200™ MWD/LWD Sensors
Extend the reach of current MWD/LWD sensors to temperatures of 175°C (347°F) to 200°C (392°F), providing reliable directional data and steering capabilities in the most extreme downhole environments.
High Temperature, High Pressure, Hostile Slimhole Logging (HEAT™) Tools
High Temperature, High Pressure, Hostile Slimhole Logging Tools provides data for lithology identification, reserves calculations, fracture identification, cement evaluation, stimulation design and time/depth correlation.
Hostile Array Compensated True Resistivity (H-ACRt™) Tool
Rated to 500°F and 30,000 PSI. Wireline induction tool that consists of a single transmitter operating at three frequencies and six receiver antennas with spacing from 6 to 80 inches. It gives resistivity values at 5 different depths of investigation and with the same vertical resolution (either 1, 2, 4 ft).
Hostile Full WaveSonic Logging (HFWS™) Tool
Rated to 500°F and 30,000 psi. Wireline tool measures fast and slow shear wave travel times, P-wave slowness, compressive fluids in pore space, and anisotropy. Also calculates minimum and maximum principal stresses and stress field orientation.
Hostile Natural Gamma Ray (HNGR™) Tool
Wireline tool records naturally occurring gamma radiation. Gamma ray measurements are used for geologic correlation, depth control, and computing shale and clay volumes. Rated to 500°F and 25,000 PSI.
Hostile Rotary Sidewall Coring (HRSCT™) Tool
Acquires up to 30 core samples in a single run, providing undistorted samples for a range of petrophysical testing and analysis, free of micro-fractures typical in percussion cores.
Hostile Sequential Formation Tester (HSFT-II™) Tool
Wireline tool acquires formation pressure data and fluid samples in extreme conditions up to 450°F, 30,000 psi in boreholes as small as 4 inches in diameter.
SOLAR® Suite of MWD/LWD Services
Sperry Drilling's suite of SOLAR® MWD/LWD services allows for the delivery of exceptional performance even under the most extreme downhole conditions.
UltraHT-230™ M/LWD Sensors
MWD/LWD Sensor designed to function under the high shock and vibration encountered while drilling in temperatures of up to 230° C (446° F).
