Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)

These tools impose an external magnetic field in the formation and make a measurement that is proportional to the porosity, regardless of lithology. This allows identification of the free- and bound-fluid volumes and the free-fluid type (gas, oil or water). It also provides an indication of permeability.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Petrophysics
Wireline service uses MRIL data to separate the resonance signal of oil from that of water.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging Analysis (MRIAN™) Service
Wireline service analysis technique that combines MRIL® and conventional data to identify potential hydrocarbon zones.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging Logging (MRIL-XLSM) Service
Wireline MRIL Service that can take measurements in large boreholes, up to 16" in diameter.
MRIL® Magnetic Resonance Imaging Logging
Wireline logging service accurately and directly measures key factors that influence the ability of a well to produce commercial quantities of oil or gas.
MRIL®-Prime Magnetic Resonance Imaging Logging Service
Wireline Magnetic Resonance Imaging Logging tool that can be used in all mud types and in boreholes up to 12 ¼ inches.
MRIL®-WD Sensor
LWD tool provides a direct measurement of the reservoir's total porosity while drilling in hole sizes up to 10 5/8 inches.
MRIL-2D Fluid Characterization
Robust gas identification and quantification from two NMR dimensions (T1 and T2) is now offered with both the MRIL-XL and MRIL-Prime services
