Comprehensive processing tool kit
The ProMAX seismic data processing family includes a complete suite of geophysical applications for 2D, 3D, VSP and depth imaging. Specialty geophysical applications include ProMAX® MVA™ Migration Velocity Analysis, ProMAX® 3DPSDM pre-stack depth imaging, ProMAX® VSP and ProMAX® 4D software. ProMAGIC® Server application creates a link between ProMAX and GeoProbe® application. SeisSpace® software adds major new functionality, usability and performance upgrades that increase the speed and ease of use of ProMAX software.

Visualization tools with rapid results
Visualization tools within the ProMAX Family application allow rapid viewing of pre- and post-stack seismic data, including shot records, CDP gathers, post-stack time slices and inline or crossline displays. Geophysical analysis results are viewed interactively, and convenient before-and-after comparisons allow user to rapidly establish optimal processing parameters.
Provides a suite of interactive tools to quickly determine the optimal velocity field for stacking or migration. Tools for picking stacking velocities include constant velocity stacks, semblance picking, stack panel picking, neural net auto-picking, horizon velocity analysis and residual moveout analysis. Picking can be guided by interpreted horizons.
Advanced interval velocity analysis
Interval velocities can be used for both 2D and 3D pre-stack time and depth migration. ProMAX MVA software provides advanced interval velocity analysis for depth imaging. Depth domain velocity field can be updated in a layer-by-layer fashion or by using a robust gridded tomography inversion approach.
Integrated, interpretive environment
ProMAX MVA and ProMAX 3DPSDM applications are components of the DepthTeam™ velocity modeling, depth conversion, and depth imaging workflow. An integrated exchange of seismic data, velocity data and interpreted horizons between ProMAX, SeisWorks® and PowerView® applications creates an interpretive environment for rapidly constructing an earth model.
The only seismic data processing system designed around interactive database
This database, coupled with interactive and batch tools, allows rapid detection of geometry problems, statics problems and other surface-consistent attributes at any time during the processing sequence, and without having to actually read trace data or access trace headers. Graphical viewing tools and interactive editing leverage the power of the database to recognize and solve complex processing issues.
Provides additional database visualization and analysis capabilities by visually linking geometry and surface-consistent trace attribute information to seismic data displays - a functionality unmatched by other seismic processing systems. Processors maintain data quality control and efficiency throughout the processing sequence.
A complete suite of geophysical technology
The ProMAX family of seismic data processing tools provides a comprehensive suite of 2D, 3D and VSP processing algorithms for both land and marine seismic data. Includes an excellent selection of geophysical algorithms for near-surface or residual statics corrections, signal enhancement, noise reduction, wavelet processing, time migration and depth imaging.
Land 3D processing
Facilitates land 3D processing with algorithms that identify geometry problems, varied kinds of noise attenuation, and tomographic refraction statics solutions to correct for near-surface velocity variations. Marine 3D algorithms include wave equation redatuming of the sea floor and numerous demultiple techniques (tau-p predictive deconvolution, fk and radon multiple removal) and wave equation multiple elimination.
Maximizes value of seismic data investment
Supports surface-consistent wavelet processing workflows to provide best match of seismic data to well data and ensure most accurate representation of subsurface. Crosswell tomography, AVO reconnaissance, post-stack inversion and complex trace attribute workflows provide additional interpretive information about the subsurface. Mode conversion analysis and processing along with time-lapse (4D) seismic processing techniques aid in reservoir description.
Integrates with third-party technologies
Development environment makes it easy to integrate proprietary geophysical analysis tools or algorithms with the processing system. Many third-party vendors offer commercial technology that integrates with ProMAX applications and/or is licensed to execute from its user interface.
Efficiently manage large 3D surveys
Updated to help ensure that multiple large 3D data sets can be processed efficiently. Where interactive analysis and visualization create the foundation for confident parameter selection, the data and resource management tools, together with the optimized algorithms, ensure streamlined project management when large-volume 3D surveys are processed simultaneously.
Job history flow chart
Job history flow chart allows the processor to be certain of the exact processes applied to a data set. User productivity in the case of large processing projects is maintained with the ProMANAGER™ program, which duplicates repetitive flows, submits and monitors jobs in batch queues throughout the network, and facilitates editing and re-submission for problem jobs.
Advanced data management tools
Include a seismic data catalog that allows users to interrogate data sets quickly and to control data flow with an optional operator console. Support for robotics and client catalog systems provided. ProMAX database allows fast sorting of disk-resident data sets. You can troubleshoot new data as they are collected and then add them to the ongoing project.
Handles large data set
Compute-intensive algorithms engineered to handle large data sets. Parallel processing enables user to reduce wall clock time by applying more resources to a problem. Easily managed from the user interface.
