Hostile Environment Dual Laterolog (HEDL™) Tool

The Choice For Hostile Environments

The Hostile Environment Dual Laterolog (HEDL™) Tool  resembles a rugged fullback who can always earn you a first down under the toughest conditions. Designed for logging high-temperature, high-pressure wells, the HEDL Tool proves highly accurate even when encountering high formation resistivities and low borehole mud resistivities.

Deployed by wireline, the HEDL tool performs two resistivity measurements - a deep laterolog (LLd) and a shallow laterolog (LLs) - and can be easily combined with other hostile environment tools for simultaneous resistivity/porosity measurements of reservoirs. With a small 2-3/4 in. OD, the HEDL tool proves especially useful in deep well applications that demand slimhole and through-drillpipe applications. The versatility of the design was achieved without compromising quality, dependability, or accuracy.
