Borehole Imaging

imagingHigh resolution images of the borehole can be used to identify a variety of geological attributes such as structural dip, faults and fractures. These images can also provide insight into the condition of the borehole, stress and rock mechanics around the borehole and assist in porosity determination.

Halliburton provides a suite of solutions for operation in water-based or oil-based muds.

   Associated Products

Electrical Micro Imaging (EMI™) Log Service
Wireline service produces in real time, core-like electrical micro-conductivity images of the formation sequence encountered in the wellbore.
Oil Based Mud Imaging (OMRI™) Log Service
Wireline imaging service obtains 6 resistivity measurements per pad at a 1” resolution. Sensor performs in all mud systems.
Water Based Mud Imaging (XRMI™) Log Service
Wireline imaging service designed to obtain images when using water based muds even in high Rt:Rm environments.
