KBR WINS JOB ORDER CONTRACT WITH U.S. NAVY FOR HAMPTON ROADS NAVAL FACILITIES

HOUSTON, Texas - KBR has been awarded a Job Order Contract (JOC) valued at $175 million over five years by the U.S. Navy to support the Hampton Roads Naval facilities. KBR is the engineering, construction and services subsidiary of Halliburton (NYSE: HAL).

The award from the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, is the first contract with the U.S. Navy in Hampton Roads since KBR’s Job Order Contract with the Yorktown Weapons Station expired in 1999. The new award is valued at $175 million over a five-year term, with a one-year base period and four one-year options. KBR’s work will involve indefinite quantities of facility rehabilitation, alteration and repair work.

“KBR is honored to have been awarded the Hampton Roads Job Order Contract,” said Randy Harl, president and chief executive officer, KBR. “The JOC is one of the most valuable procurement tools available to federal, state and local agencies. The Hampton Roads award reflects KBR’s continuing commitment to support our government clients, and we are especially pleased to work with the Naval Facilities Command (NAVFAC) and the Navy at Hampton Roads.”

KBR is a leader with extensive experience in JOCs, an on-site, on-call firm fixed price contract designed to provide customers quick response solutions in a cost-effective manner. Over the years KBR has executed a variety of JOCs for customers ranging from the Department of Defense to the Department of State, and KBR was the first company to adapt and convert the JOC approach to civilian applications.

Hampton Roads is a sprawling complex of six major naval facilities including Naval Station Norfolk, the world’s largest naval station.

KBR is a global engineering, procurement and services company. Whether designing a chemical plant, serving as a defense industry contractor, or providing capital construction, KBR delivers world-class service and performance.
