HALLIBURTON'S FASTQ MULTIPHASE FLOW METER SYSTEM
FIRST TO BE CERTIFIED FOR DEPLOYMENT IN KAZAKHSTAN
HOUSTON, Texas - Following extensive testing, calibration witness and documentation inspection, officials from the registered certification and accreditation authority (SAPA INTERSYSTEMS LLP) and the Kazakh Metrology Institute have certified Halliburton Energy Services' FastQ Multiphase Flow Meter System for deployment in Kazakhstan. Halliburton Energy Services (HES) is a business unit of Halliburton (NYSE: HAL).
Halliburton's FastQ technology is a skid-mounted mobile system capable of measuring the flow rates of oil, water and gas continuously without any mixing or separating of fluids. It is used for reservoir evaluation and monitoring in producing wells. It has been tested at independent flow test laboratories in Norway, Brazil and the United Kingdom.
"Halliburton is happy to have the first certified Multiphase Flow Meter technology for offering in Kazakhstan," said Gary Godwin, division vice president, Tools, Testing and Tubing Conveyed Perforating. "During the trials, the system was tested against conventional well testing systems, and the results were outstanding."
The FastQ system provides the global customer with a highly accurate, non-radioactive solution for multiphase measurement, which utilizes a proven method of mass measurement. It also enables Halliburton to continue introducing to the market safe, environmentally friendly products.
