LANDMARK GRAPHICS AND SUBSURFACE COMPUTER MODELING FORM ALLIANCE

- Integrating advanced mapping applications and workflow tools to streamline subsurface modeling -

HOUSTON, Texas - Landmark Graphics Corporation, a wholly owned business unit of Halliburton (NYSE:HAL), today announced that it has signed a three year agreement with Subsurface Computer Modeling, Inc. (SCM) to integrate and deliver the SCM productivity tools exclusively within Landmark's Z-MAP PlusŪ software. SCM's tools complement Z-Map Plus by offering clients access to new and enhanced workflows that make subsurface mapping a faster, more efficient process.

"The combination of Landmark's industry-leading mapping package, Z-Map Plus, with SCM's tools should lead to dramatic improvements in productivity and performance in subsurface modeling and mapping," said Andy Lane, president and CEO, Landmark Graphics. "Through the addition of the SCM enhancements to Z-MAP Plus, Landmark will provide high-impact streamlined workflows for faster reservoir optimization."

This new offering of SCM's tools focuses on enhancing and automating Z-MAP Plus subsurface modeling and mapping workflows. "We are very excited to incorporate our software into Z-MAP Plus. Our tools were specifically designed through our consulting projects to enhance and improve our own productivity and deliverables. This agreement delivers dynamic new workflows within Z-MAP Plus to the world's largest mapping community," said Mack Olson, president of SCM.

The integration of SCM technology into Z-MAP Plus provides new comprehensive workflows designed to allow novice and experienced users to quickly and efficiently model the subsurface. Through this alliance, Z-MAP Plus should continue to set the pace as the leading product in integrated mapping and modeling software.
