LANDMARK HELPS ADVANCE ITB UNIVERSITY AS GEOPHYSICAL ACADEMIC LEADER IN ASIA-PACIFIC

- GeoGraphix software to complement research and lecturing -

HOUSTON, Texas - Landmark Graphics Corporation, a wholly owned business unit of Halliburton (NYSE:HAL), announced today that it has granted GeoGraphix Discovery software license agreements to the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) University, Bandung, Indonesia, extending its commitment toward education in the oil and gas industry worldwide. The Department of Geophysical Engineering (DGE) and the faculty of Earth Sciences and Mineral Technology will utilize the software to complement their research and lecturing activities while offering students practical tools for reservoir analysis.

The GeoGraphix Discovery suite of software will allow an increase in the number of workshops in all reservoir-geophysics related courses at ITB. GeoGraphix software will help improve the quality of courses and research activities in addition to providing a sophisticated technology for reservoir characterization.
